Question by Moncy: How can i download Microsoft Office if i don’t have an Optical disc drive?
I have a Gateway netbook or notebook (i can’t tell what’s the difference between the two) and i want to install microsoft office but it doesn’t have an Optical disc drive. Is there anyway i can download office without a CD, please help.

I am buying a new laptop/notebook computer and want to give my current one to my son. I want to take everything off of my current notebook and transfer it to my new notebook (haven’t bought yet), can this be done? We were told at work that just reformatting the hard drive doesn’t really get rid of the data. At work they contract with a company that specializes in “sanitizing” hard drives before they are sold as surplus. Obviously I can’t afford to do that just to sell an old laptop, but it does have personal info on it (including bank account numbers and passwords, etc.) that I would not want somebody to be able to “recover” after [...]

I have a busted Compaq Presario 700 serios laptop on my hands. The hard drive works just fine, so I’m thinking that if I can get my hands on another model that works, I can just put my hard drive into that one.
